Winter Wonderland in nottingham vs advent in zagreb

Zagreb is the capital city in Croatia and it's advent has been named the best one in Europe over the few last years. It's visited not only by Croatians, but people from all over the world visit it. I went to Zagreb few times over the years during the advent and I can say it really is one special experience. Advent is spread all over the town and lots of attractions are included. From children sections to many outside bars that offer wide range of booze, you can find something for each age group. Of course there are many places with excellent food, mostly famous Croatian meals. There are 2 skating rinks, both amazingly decorated and surrounded by bars and restaurants. Town is full of Christmas lights and it's beautiful.

This is the first year I visited advent in Nottingham or how it's named Winter wonderland. It is much smaller than the one in Zagreb and it's all placed in the city centre. Skating rink is little bit bigger but the prices of everything are 5 times higher. It's reasonable because UK is much more expensive that Croatia but I personally think it's overpriced. There are around 15 places where you can eat or drink. Two beautiful wooden houses were set up in the middle of Lace Market square and have been transformed into bars with many booths and fireplaces. Every day there is either a dj or a band entertaining people.

Christmas break always makes me wanna go all over the Europe to visit advents in different cities so I hope that next year I will see more of them.
